Our Team

Esther grew up in South Korea. She was raised in a Buddhist home. As a young girl she had heard stories about Jesus and became curious about the Christian faith. Eventually, she got to know other Christians and learn more about what they believed. When she was 16, Esther became a Christian.

After high school, Esther moved to the Philippines to study theology. Later she returned to Korea in order to attend Hapdong Theological Seminary, where she received her M.Div.

Esther is passionate about teaching children the good news about Jesus. For the last 10 years, she has been leading children’s ministries in the Philippines and Korea, and she is excited to continue using her gifts at Hope.

Esther is married to Jae, whom she met in Seminary, and together they have twin girls.
